Quarter Horse. Sculptor Ernest Massuet. Porcelain Type Gloss and metallic lustre. Base Included. Limited Edition 300 pcs. - 01001980
NOTES: Quarter Horse. Limited edition sculpture of a quarter horse in brown gloss finish porcelain combined with gold and silver lustre. hanks to the brand's long tradition in the art of depicting horses, all the features of the strong quarter horse are well captured in this sculpture, especially on its of powerful anatomy, showing off the most developed muscle in its species. Worth underscoring is the saddle, decorated in silver and gold tones using the complex luster technique. Specially complex is to keep their right proportions during the firing in the kiln, where all pieces undergo a reduction in size of around 15% due to water loss, a challenge specially for horses, which are supported solely on their four slender legs.. Lladro bio
Lladro was founded in 1953 when Juan, Jose, and Vicente, three brothers born of local farmers and endowed with great artistic talent, formed a small family company in the Valencian village of Almacera, Spain. Since then, Lladro has undergone an amazing metamorphosis from an artisan workshop to a huge firm of international scope enjoying continual growth. The company management has remained in the hands of the Lladro family, the owners of the firm, since its inception. The creative team started out by adapting styles from past eras, but it was not long before certain characteristics appeared that would soon shape what was to become the unique Lladro style.
