"How happy I am to be taking my first wife. At long last we have arrived outside my kraal and my family have given her many gifts. My gift is an offering of honey beer and I look forward to the moment when she says she is content with our offerings and she will then talk to me and enter my home - then our marriage can begin." - 11934

Maasai bio

As a self-taught artist Stacy Bayne's journey into the art world began in her early 20's. As a model Stacy lived in 5 foreign countries over the next 7 years where she spent every spare weekend in museums around the world. "This allowed me to experience and 'absorb' some of the Greatest Masterworks in History." Fast forward ten years and now a mother of three young children Stacy discovered the world of sculpture. In 1997 "The Maasai Collection" created by Stacy Bayne was released with overwhelming success and was sold in many countries around the world. Today Stacy is proud to introduce her newest work 'Village Life'. The elegant and sophisticated lines of these fine art sculptures are created to celebrate the diversity of culture and village life the world over. The heartbeat of every village lies in each member, for their very existence and that of the community. "Art creates an impact all it's own and is seen differently thru the eyes of those whom see it. I hope that thru my art I am able to honor and celebrate all cultures with dignity and grace and to do my small part to help preserve them. My passion behind my work is to have some effect, no matter how small, to imprint their footsteps into the hearts and minds of others."
