Winnie The Pooh II - TKPOOH230C

NOTES: Winnie The Pooh II. There are few if any works of literature or animation that better capture the innocence and wisdom of the child and the child's perspective on life than the A. A. Milne classic "Winnie the Pooh". There were few if any books or films that influenced Thom as a young boy more than these stories detailing the adventures of Christopher Robin and his delightful menagerie of friends as they all adventured in the Hundred Acre Wood. In 1966 when Disney Studios began releasing their featurettes chronicling these wondrous tales, Thom could not have been more excited. His childhood fancies were coming to life. It is in honor of that time in his life we at the Thomas Kinkade Studios proudly introduce scenes from this magical story of love, faith, friendship and adventure. It is in these paintings we hope our collectors reflect on and always remember these undeniable truths from Pooh himself, such as "nobody can be uncheered with a balloon" or""when you see someone putting on his Big Boots, you can be pretty sure that an adventure is going to happen." .

Thomas Kinkade Disney bio

Thomas Kinkade Studios portfolio of Disney artwork captures the beauty of Disney fans’ favorite movies and theme parks. Each Thomas Kinkade Studios Disney movie painting tells an entire story in one image, using the signature style of “narrative panorama”, and each Disney Theme Park painting captures the magic of favorite family memories.. 1958 – 2012 In the very beginning of his artistic career, Thomas Kinkade put his entire life savings into the printing of his first lithograph. Though at the time he was already an acclaimed illustrator, Thom found that he was inspired not by fame and fortune, but by the simple act of painting straight from the heart, putting on canvas the natural wonders and images that moved him most. Throughout his life Thomas Kinkade shared his joy and used his paints in support of hospitals, schools, and humanitarian relief. Though the recipient of countless awards and honors, it was Thom’s profound sense of purpose that his art was not just an accessory, but also a ministry, that continues on as his legacy. From custom images that were sold for The Salvation Army, Hurricane Katrina relief, Rotary International, to donations that now grace the halls of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, the White House, The Vatican, and Britain’s Tate Museum, Thom raised hundreds of thousands of dollars over his lifetime for charity. Thom’s dearest wish had always been that his artwork would be a messenger of hope and inspiration to others – a message to slow down, appreciate the little details in life, and to look for beauty in the world around us. As millions of collectors around the world sit back and enjoy his artwork in their homes, there is no doubt that Thomas Kinkade had indeed achieved his goal of Sharing the Light.
